We were engaged to reimagine and extend an existing residence, transforming it into a light-filled, contemporary family home that balances refinement with everyday functionality. The project began with a considered internal refurbishment, where much of the original layout was carefully deconstructed to allow for a completely new spatial arrangement.
The new extension unfolds into a generous living and dining domain, where volume, light and materiality work together to create a warm and inviting heart of the home. A raked ceiling amplifies the sense of openness, while expansive glazing captures natural light throughout the day, reinforcing a connection to the outdoors and extending living into the adjoining alfresco area.
Internally soft arches and subtle curves are woven through openings and joinery, gently contrasting with the home’s linear framework and introducing a sense of softness and flow.
Externally, natural stone grounds the home within its setting and lends a sense of understated elegance. Elevated in both form and experience, the design reflects a holistic approach where every decision, from spatial planning to detailing, has been guided by a desire to create a home that feels intuitive, timeless and deeply considered.
